The Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, the Cape Cod Performing Arts Center and the town of Barnstable are sponsoring a free public concert on the lawn of Aselton Park starting at 5:30.  The festivities concliude at 9:15 p.m. with a colorful and exciting 30-minute fireworks deisplay above Hyannis Harbor.  Admission is free.

There are 3 classes to choose from; Tuesday, July 8, 9am-12 noon, Wednesday, July 9, 9am-12 noon and Thursday, July 10, 6:30-9:30 pm.  There are two jewelry class offerings , one in silversmithing with Terry Cetto on Thursdays starting July 10, 6:30 pm -9:30 pm for 6 sessions and the other is Cabochon Beading with Coletta Moran starting July 17 on Thursdays 10 am - 12 noon for 3 sessions. The Center is very excited about its offerings this summer. For Plein Air Painters, a local favorite, Rosalie Nadeau will be returning to give an outdoor painting workshop in oil, pastel and acrylic starting Monday, June 30- Thursday July 3.
